Private Message alert - 2005/03/17 15:40
I have finally found a private message alert that shows you have received a message. This is not a pop up but appears in the menu just below your user menu. You will only see this when you log in and when you change your page view.
So if you are reading or posting something it won't show until you change to something else i.e. when you page refreshes.
You can't click on the alert yet. If you want to see your messages just click on "My Messages" in the user menu.
I hope this will make it easier to PM each other and also to use the chat facility. I expect to upgrade the software we are running in soon. This will allow us to use more sophisticated tools one of which will be a PM alert that you can just click and it will take you to the PM tool. I am also looking at upgrading the chat tool.
