Re:first occurance of - 2005/04/12 01:35 Polemotheos,

Excellent start to what I hope will be a great discussion. Looking forward to the comments from the friends here.

Mine are as follows:

The Angel [Messenger] of Jehovah is God's Son, who always represented and spoke for his Father to men. The fact that Jehovah said that Moses because of his position of authority over Aaron, would be as God to him is a fine example of how when on earth Jesus, God's Son, could be revered and viewed as if he were God since he was not only given God's authority but was also the mirrored image of his Father. Jesus allowed men to see the One they could not see....The Father!

But just as Moses was not the Father, nether was Jesus. He was and is though the representive, the spokesman, the Word, the Emmanuel.....for where Jesus is so also is God and when Jesus speaks it is God's word he speaks and when he acts it is in God's name and as God himself would act.....to see the Son is to also see the Father. And so, yes, to "worship" Jesus was proper, to call him "My Lord and my God", was proper. Just as it was proper for Abraham to address him as Jehovah since for all purposes Abraham might as well have been in the heavens speaking to God himself when he spoke to his Name Messenger, his Word, his firstborn Son.

Yet for all this, Jesus, though the exact representation of God was NOT God the Father. He made that clear over and over. He is not equal to God, he is as all creation is, subject to and submissive to God Almighty....the only Eternal One who had no beginning and has no end!

These are my comments on your excellent list of scriptures.

Peace to you,
Josh

Re:first occurance of - 2005/04/12 10:11 (Hebrews 1:6) . . .But when he again brings his Firstborn into the inhabited earth, he says: “And let all God’s angels do obeisance to him.”

I don't know where Paul got that quote but I would do obeisance to Jesus as well. Just like I would and others have done the same for Jehovah's Prophets like Elijah and Elisha.

Re:first occurance of - 2005/04/12 14:14 Jesus is the first transformation of Jehovah and the formost messenger of God's consciousness. Jesus is the first created free will.

God does not have free will. To say God has a free will from his own will does not make sense.

Freedom of will is in relation to Jehovah because "by God we have life and move and exist". Even if our will is diabolically opposed to Jehovah it is by God we have life and move and exist.

Satan's very existance is actuated by God.

Yes Jehovah knows all, sees all, and has control over all.
