Greetings all. I am something of an outsider. I have never been a JW. I was brought up a Roman Catholic until I conveted, with my mother to SDA at 12 years old. Was re-baptised at 15, and gradually drifted into a form of agnostic theism for the past 30 years. I am also interested in science.
Then six months ago my lifelong best friend got seriously into becoming a JW after some depression and family problems.
He is about to get baptised a JW. I knew these people were not teaching Christianity so I have set about studying scriptures again after all these years, and the Watchtower history. What a difference in my heart, if only the Holy Spirit can do something for my friend and his family which is now being torn apart.
I must say that when I nearly gave up on helping my friends, the Bible and Christianity, I read a book called In Search of Christian Freedom. It has changed my life like no other book except the Bible. Just my two-penneth on Ray Franz.
I may not be any closer to helping my friends, but RF, this and similar sites give me a glimmer of hope. Thanks for having me.
