God's power - 2005/11/27 20:23Hi brothers and sisters,
The next real thing I have been investigating is God's power and how we can have access to the power today.
I have already learned how to scientifically prove the power of prayer over psycosomatic conditions.
Essentially; prayer is imagitative suggestive therapy. Yes I made that term up.
During prayer we have are eyes closed, we are focusing on our source, Jehovah, and we ask for such and such things etc.. Jesus said we are to believe what we ask for will come true according to God's will.
Basically you are focusing your brain cells and programing them to accept the suggestion... Your brain controls your nervous system... Your nervous system controls the rest of your body.
Now it is possible with focused imagitative suggestion to comand your nervous system to heal your body, to remove pain, to do the impossible!
This probably sounds crazy but give me more time and I will be able to explain it better...

From your immune system, to the endocrine system, to the ability to feel, smell, hear and see. in some states of consciousness specifically what some call meditation or surrender to God, focused imagitative suggestion will actually reprogram the subconscious that runs without your ordinary awareness.
Your ordinary everyday awareness would be what's call your "free will". Everything that you (your body) learns it puts into the subconscious. For example you learned to type. It does not take your normal everyday awareness to say to yourself please type such and such keys on the key board. It is already programed into you. You need no such thing.
Basically every single thing your body does is programed the same way.
You can even access the program of your heart and tell it to stop beating. Which has happened and killed someone.
I am not entirely sure if I should teach just anyone this stuff... because it can be used for evil. Which it already is...
Re:God's power - 2005/11/28 00:41I'm sorry, I'm having a little trouble getting this: It seems that you are saying that our prayer taps into the power we have within ourselves, which means God really doesn't answer the prayer, we do. Is this right? Because if it is, then you are saying our own abilities are powerful, not God's.
Please tell me I'm taking this all wrong!

Mark 11
20 But when they were passing by early in the morning, they saw the fig tree already withered up from the roots. 21 So Peter, remembering it, said to him: “Rabbi, see! the fig tree that you cursed has withered up.” 22 And in reply Jesus said to them: “Have faith in God. 23 Truly I say to YOU that whoever tells this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but has faith that what he says is going to occur, he will have it so. 24 This is why I tell YOU, All the things YOU pray and ask for have faith that YOU have practically received, and YOU will have them.
Polemotheous is correct to mention that a similar power is available for unrighteous purposes.
Exodus 7
8 Jehovah now said to Moses and Aaron: 9 “In case that Phar´aoh speaks to YOU, saying, ‘Produce a miracle for yourselves,’ then you must say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and throw it down before Phar´aoh.’ It will become a big snake.” 10 So Moses and Aaron went on in to Phar´aoh and did exactly as Jehovah had commanded. Accordingly Aaron threw his rod down before Phar´aoh and his servants and it became a big snake. 11 However, Phar´aoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers; and the magic-practicing priests of Egypt themselves also proceeded to do the same thing with their magic arts. 12 So they threw down each one his rod, and they became big snakes; but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
You should be very carefull with this stuff.
You should first determine wether it is faith or magic?

Please tell me I'm taking this all wrong! Well sister, your thinking of a dichotomy that does not exist.
(Acts 17:28) 'For in [God] we have life and move and exist,..."
Now, God teaches us for our benifit. If God tells us to pray, there is a reason why. It must be in our design...
We are never literally separate from God. Only in our minds and ways of thinking are we 'separate'.
It is my hope that the essay "God's reality" would help people see just how immanent God really is.
