Re:Mountains - 2005/02/18 18:20 Hi Daisy

Welcome.

Good questions you asked. I don't know the answers . . . . yet. But definitely spiritually relevant and so worth researching.

Epi's answers seem to fit the bill. If I can add anything more meanginful I will. If not, I'll stay quiet so I don't betray my ignorance.

Christian love

Re:Mountains - 2005/03/12 01:58 Hello. I'm still here, still thinking, but I end up with more questions than I do answers LOL, anyway, I was talking to a good friend of mine about this subject recently and he brought up an interesting thing.
Lot and his wife and daughters all fled from the city of Sodom, into the wilderness or mountainous regions, and in fact had made their way out of city, but when we look at Lots wife, her demise was due to her heart condition.
She had fled, physically she was no longer in that city, but, she had not left it behind in her heart.
Spriritual vs Physical. So, it didn't matter where Lots wife was, she could run to the Mountains as a protection, a place that an angel had told her where they would be spared, but ultimately it was dependant on her attitude, in her heart she had not fled that city.
Jehovah destroyed her regardless of where she was standing.

Anyway, love love love to you all and to your families.
Love Daisy

Re:Mountains - 2005/03/12 20:52 When my husband and I first started to properly walk with God, He spoke a great deal on the significance of mountains.

Who can ascend the hill of the Lord, only he with clean hands and a pure heart.

Come let us go up the mountain he will teach us his ways.

There is something propheticlly powerful about mountains. Jerusalem is on a hill so no matter where you are, you speak ogf "going up" to Jerusalem.

On free days I strap my daughter to my back and plough up some mountains in wales as a sort of "prophetic action."

Leading people up the mountain is leading people to a place of worship. Hence the need for those who have already been there. Climbing a mountain is hard work, but the views from the top can be spectacular.

I just know that mountains and worship are connected

Re:Mountains - 2005/03/12 21:18 G'day Ish!

I just want to tell you that I adore all of your posts. I hope that you never leave E-Watchman. You teach the type of worship and love for Yah that as Jehovah's Witnesses we could never fathom. You are truly inspiring! And you always point to Yah instead of yourself. That's what it's all about isn't it???

Much love to you Ish!

Shalom!

Alicia
