Comments by EW at the Cafe. - 2005/03/25 06:14 Hi All. I just noticed some unfortuante comments made by EWatchman and some others at the Cafe DB which misrepresent this site somewhat.

EW said: "I got a troubling email last night. Apparently the Beth-Sarim reformers are pushing the idea that no one should partake of the Memorial in the congregational setting because of the Watchtower's spiritual adultery."

and

"I take issue with the Beth Sarim group for trying to persuade others by teaching that it is wrong to partake at the kingdom hall."

Im afraid that EW is rather poorly informed. There are no "Beth Sarim reformers". His comments imply that this site has an agenda and that the article represents a "they" who are pushing a site agenda. This is wrong. BethSarim is wholly unlike EW's own site. The article that he is referring to was submitted by an individual. The following pointed comment was posted below the article in question by a BethSarim administrator:

"Please note that this is a message from a contributor ... and it contains the opinions of that contributor ... and not necessairly the opinion of the administration"

There are many articles that have been submitted by many different individuals here. As I understand it, anyone is able to submit an article here to admin for publishing. It's rather like saying "the EWatchman position is..." based on a post that one of the members of the Cafe has posted in his forum. I disagree somewhat the article in question, as do several others here, and we openly said so within the forum.

I would be enormously grateful is someone was able to tactfully point this misunderstanding out at the Cafe, as I feel the comments there at the moment rather unfairly represent this site, and it would be a real shame if others got the wrong impression about BethSarim based on a few careless words.

Much Philia.

Phi.

Re:Comments by EW at the Cafe. - 2005/03/25 06:41 Hello,
I was hoping that we could encourage those that want to add articals to only add them after months of work on there essay. For example my omnipresence essay was worked on for months and openly debated on paradise cafe. This allowed me to add significant substance to the essay. Posting it here now all most everyone agrees with the idea. But had I posted my original ruff draft probably no one would agree with it.

I am not saying that everyone or anyone has to agree with you but what I am saying is put some time into it. Make it more then just the average read.

Lets put our ruff drafts into the forum and then if you think you have improved it enough add it to the articals.

Thanks and lots of love,
Mars

Thanks Watchman.

Mars, are you saying you give our article contributors a W for work on it?

Philia.
