Re:Bible study - navoos - 2005/04/01 05:05 this future for sinful mankind is assured thru the blood of Jesus and will be provided by Jesus and his brothers 'bought from the earth'. Thus it is not the hope of all.

IMHO, it is not our place to declare the good news of the Christ as synonymous with the hope for earthly life, we should leave it to Jehovah to reveal the hope for each one in each one.

Wow Eden. That is almost word for word what I would have said. While the JW message focuses on an apparently imminent paradise earth and all it's benefits, this is not the Christian message as contained in the Bible. The individuals hope will be revealed to them by God through the spirit. What people need to learn about is the sure foundation upon which their hope - whatever it is - rests. That foundation is the Christ. This is the simple 'gospel' message.

Much Philia.

Oh and welcome Navoos!

Hi Mars, Navoos, Ish and all,

I empathize with Ish's comments here Mars. While it is true, the earth will not be made to totter, and one will build and have occupancy and sit under their own fig tree, and Adam and Eve were humans placed on earth with an everlasting future - this future for sinful mankind is assured thru the blood of Jesus and will be provided by Jesus and his brothers 'bought from the earth'. Thus it is not the hope of all.

IMHO, it is not our place to declare the good news of the Christ as synonymous with the hope for earthly life, we should leave it to Jehovah to reveal the hope for each one in each one.

1 Peter 1 says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for according to his great mercy he gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance. It is reserved in the heavens for YOU" - teaching someone they have an earthly hope may actually 'shut up the kingdom of the heavens' for them.

I was tought the details of the paradise earthly hope and rejoice in the prospect. Whether I go to heaven or not!
Those that have the hope of living in paradise earth and those of the heavenly hope have the same hope! Even those in heaven will be administering the paradise earth for our brothers and sister in incorutable bodies. So either way both hopes are directed to Jehovah's original purpose for mankind. Paradise earth.
We can teach both hopes and have Jehovah descide where the student belongs in the grand plans of our God.
Your Peace, Surrender, In You,
