The woman - 2006/04/09 11:56
Hosea and Revelation are discussing the future of the same woman/harlot.
I'll just post a few comparable scriptures which, gives credibility to the profundities I have recently posted.
Hosea 2
4 And to her sons I shall not show mercy, for they are the sons of fornication. 5 For their mother has committed fornication. She that was pregnant with them has acted shamefully,
Revelation 17
“Come, I will show you the judgment upon the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, whereas those who inhabit the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”
Who is this woman under consideration in both Hosea and Revelation?
The chapter properly identifies her and brings the mystery to a finish:
Revelation 17
5 And upon her forehead was written a name, a mystery: “Babylon the Great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.” 6 And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus.
Babylon the Great!
So who am I?
Notice how the harlot is judged:
Hosea
That is why I shall have to hew [them] by the prophets; I shall have to kill them by the sayings of my mouth. And the judgments upon you will be as the light that goes forth.
They are destroyed by the truth which originates from God.
This is exactly what Paul said would cause their demise:
2nd Thessalonians
8 Then, indeed, the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth
It is words of truth that someone in the last days is inspired to say.
Hosea also describes that person:
Hosea 9
7 “The days of being given attention must come; the days of the due payment must come. Those of Israel will know [it]. The prophet will be foolish, the man of inspired expression will be maddened on account of the abundance of your error, even animosity being abundant.”
8 The watchman of E´phra·im was with my God
Why do you think I have not been silenced by the abundant animosity I have received both in my own Kingdom Hall and in many places on the Internet including this one?
I have indeed been inspired to say the many things I have said;
That I would be present during the final part of the days was included in a prophecy made very long ago:
Numbers 24
14 And now here I am going away to my people. Do come, let me advise you what this people will do to your people afterward in the end of the days.” 15 So he took up his proverbial utterance and said:
“The utterance of Ba´laam the son of Be´or, And the utterance of the able-bodied man with the eye unsealed,
