Jan 15, 2005 Watchtower - 2005/02/20 14:13 The January 15th Watchtower on page 20 and paragraph 19 tells us to "prove yourself ready, because at an hour that you do not think to be it, the son of man is coming".

In past studies however is it not this same scripture that the FDS say has been fulfilled and that they now are "appointed over all his belongings"?

The error seems almost too blatant to be a mistake.

If they are "taking refuge in the lie" this is a big slip up!

Or perhaps there is a Faithfull Slave using opportunity to deliver truths past the Evil one.

Re:Jan 15, 2005 Watchtower - 2005/02/20 15:00 Hey ABM, this highlights the problem with Jesus having come back then. He has to come again. If he is the rider on the first white horse in Rev 6:2, it probably has been retired by the time he comes on the other white horse in Rev 19:11.

There was a WT last year, (I think) that talked about all these "different" comings which shows how WTS thinking has become so convluted and knotted in order to explain doctrine which is falling apart.

Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone thinks he has acquired knowledge of something, he does not yet know it just as he ought to know it. But if anyone loves God, this one is known by him - 1 Cor 8:1-3

Re:Jan 15, 2005 Watchtower - 2005/02/21 04:22 Hi ABM. Good to see you. Have they used that scripture before to refer to 1914-19 period? I dont recall. But then, as Epig says, their explanantions have flip flopped so much and become so bizarre over the years that it is sometimes hard for me to keep track of where they are at...and even harder to care I dont have the energy these days to try to unravel the tangled prophetic ball of string they have created. The phenomena I find most ridiculous is when they take a prophesy discussed in one or two verses and have some of its elements assigned to the 1914-19 period or therebouts and the rest assigned to the future, when there is usually no indication in the verse that such a huge gap between events is warranted, or that they could even be separated at all.. Oh well.

Re:Jan 15, 2005 Watchtower - 2005/02/25 14:08 It is the March 1st 2004 WT. It is the worse WT mag ever produced in IMHO.
