Is it a reference to the Beth-Sarim built by Rutherford in the 20's for the mighty princes of old.
Although it should be Bet-sarim. We don't do the "h"
Much shalom. Wonderful to be here with you.
Hey Warrior, really great to see you here. I have only read a few of your posts on eW but what I have read I have truely enjoyed.
To answer your question above, some crazy guy decided to call this site Beth Sarim because of Isaiah 32:1-2, given the beating many sheep seemed to be getting within the organisation.
You can read the article here.
I say crazy guy because who would want to name a site after a name that had received so much bad publicity (the debacle over Rutherford and the Beth Sarim house in San Diego). But I figure he must have thought it was worth the risk because of the value of providing a hiding place from the storm.
BTW thank you for showing us about the "h". That is really cool.
As it is I thought the "h" in Beth Sarim was silent anyway , really, I did, ok well I didn't have a clue really.
Very much spirit to you Warrior - again so great to see you here and look forward to your posts
