So who chose the name? House of princes?

Is it a reference to the Beth-Sarim built by Rutherford in the 20's for the mighty princes of old.

Although it should be Bet-sarim. We don't do the "h"

Much shalom. Wonderful to be here with you.

Hey Warrior, really great to see you here. I have only read a few of your posts on eW but what I have read I have truely enjoyed.

To answer your question above, some crazy guy decided to call this site Beth Sarim because of Isaiah 32:1-2, given the beating many sheep seemed to be getting within the organisation.

You can read the article here.

I say crazy guy because who would want to name a site after a name that had received so much bad publicity (the debacle over Rutherford and the Beth Sarim house in San Diego). But I figure he must have thought it was worth the risk because of the value of providing a hiding place from the storm.

BTW thank you for showing us about the "h". That is really cool.

As it is I thought the "h" in Beth Sarim was silent anyway , really, I did, ok well I didn't have a clue really.

Very much spirit to you Warrior - again so great to see you here and look forward to your posts

Re:Beth Sarim milestones - 2005/03/13 11:07 LOL. Well at least some of the Witnesses who have heard a bit about the WT's shady history, and so have ventured onto the net and typed 'Beth Sarim' into their search engine, might end up here with us. Who knows?

admin take a look to the left on "who's online" it says
we have 45 guests online
and 24 members online

But were it says "online users" it only reads four of us;
polemotheos
donbodo
Warrior
imbrium

So that leads me to conclude the feature "online users" does not show all the members online or more likely this sites counter is messed up.

Either way I would still agree with you that there has been an increase in activity here. But maybe not as much as we are lead to believe by the counter.

Ah Pole you've pricked me bubble . Which only goes to highlight that old adage "there's lies, damned lies and then statistics" Yes I think you are right. Seems that dang counter is not too good at counting. I suspect the server goes whacko every now and again and starts counting clicks instead of visits. I have been a bit suspicious ever since I was visiting one time and noted every time I clicked on something the counter would go up by one!

I take solice in the fact that this is probably true of many other skite stats on other sites (maybe) . Perhaps if we ask admin nicely (boy he works hard doesn't he) he might put in another stat system. I believe there are more around.
