Re:The Use of Insulting Theological Terms - 2005/05/12 08:49 So true Warrior, I don't mind so much what man thinks of me, but what God thinks of me. However, I think it is important to set the record straight when something negative is being said not so much about me personally, but what my brethren as a whole believe.

Too often, people have misconceptions of what others teach, not from their own research, but from looking at negative websites, OR, from dialoging with someone who although may claim to be of such and such a group, does not truly represent them theologically.

For instance, we have a gentlmen who has been meeting with us for some time. He says he is consecrated, he partakes of teh memorial emblems, based on this, we extend to him the right hand of fellowship. BUT, he does not believe as we do.

He is a trinitarian!

Re:The Use of Insulting Theological Terms - 2005/05/12 09:52 Well, he says he is consecrated. Do you believe a trinitarian can be consecrated?

Re:The Use of Insulting Theological Terms - 2005/05/12 09:57 RR:

"The only reason why I came on this forum is because you were "labeling" Bible Students as "anti-earth"..."

Humm..that is interesting, that if I express Bible Students making anti-restored earth comments and I state their own quotes proving this..that by merely observing and quoting them makes me anti-earth.

So, if I voice JW's calling non-JW's 'wordly' and I quote them saying this..than the mere act of drawing attention to this fact makes me 'wordly'?

"Isn't that a label? Why not take your own advice?!! "

I'll tell you what you agree to stop erefring to restored earth believers as "unChristians"..and I will stop pointing out.

BTW, if this concerns you, that you found me pointing this out, HERE, and I affraid I have bad news...cause I have also posted the very same quotes on as many sites as possible. I am not going to list which sites, that will be up to each person to discover on their own. But here's an idea...if the Bible Students, such as yourselves would stop calling restored earth believers UnChristians..then you would no longer have to worry about running here and there to explain what your quotes meant and why they sounded so negative.

Re:The Use of Insulting Theological Terms - 2005/05/12 11:12 I personally, do not judge whether a person is heavenly or earth or Christian or not. If a person tells me they feel they are heavenly, whether they are triniatarian or bibical unitarian..I believe them. If they tell me they are heavenly, I believe whatever their denonination is and if they tell me they are earthly then the same. Besides, it is recorded that Charlse Russell spoke of once given his seat to a Catholic nun on a train and he told his companion that ,"She could be amoung the heavenly," and obviously she would be trinitarian.

Re:The Use of Insulting Theological Terms - 2005/05/12 11:17 I think it is one thing to judge someone's spirituality or salvation or judge whether they are saved or Christian or not...but that is different then simplying stating that a person is acting holyer-than-thou-art or is acting like a fundamentalist. For example, I do not judge my JW family members as being UnChristian or not saved...but if a JW goes around calling all those who dare disagree with the org as "wordly" then I will expressed that I think they are acting like a fundamentalist..but that has nothing to do with judging their salvation i am simply stating that they are acting snotty...and the same goes from anyone in any faith group.
