Re:Where I am today... - 2005/05/24 10:31
Greetings All …

I have known about this scam for some time …

There is another twist to it I didn’t see mentioned … after the ’loan’ is paid off … the ownership remains with the Society … not the local congregation … (I was informed of this by a savvy Canadian elder, though I could never confirm it).

In ‘normal’ banking situations … after the loan is paid … the property goes to the one who paid for it … as opposed to remaining with the bank which has now been paid … any other arrangement would be … huh?

Genlado … while I am happy you are here … and find the topic suitable … your use of language is … unlike any other JW I have met in international travels … so I want to say that you don’t have to be a JW to post here … neither would being an elder add much to your believability ... you are simply welcome ...

While I found that learning these things while still associating ... helped to loosen up my encrusted brain ... my reasons for 'not doing religion' anymore ... have to do not so much with their corruption ... which isn’t my concern … but with searching for God … for truth … which is my consuming concern ...

Philia …. Evening

Re:Where I am today... - 2005/05/24 15:34 How did a small group of sincere Bible Students who desired to live their lives for Jesus become such an ugly monster?

Answers on a postcard please ................

Okay here is my post card....Satan is my answer. He's capabale of corrupting any
person or group of people of his choice. I believe this is the way it will be until Jesus's thief like arrival. Kick me hard if you want ...nine times in the face if it makes you happy...or until I start to bleed...which ever comes first. But don't take it personal. Peace. Dodger

Evening, you are wise. I thought I would be the only one to see it.

Re:Where I am today... - 2005/05/25 15:33 goodevening to all

I tell you it is really, really getting ugly, yes the WTBTS has become a monster, well to put it more scripturally, a wolf in sheeps clothing

I quit going around 8 mos ago and have really learned that , I do not want any part of the WTBTS anymore

I have been like a yo-yo trying to decide what to do and I believe that the Heavanly Father has opened my eyes as to what decision to make

the teaching that the WTBTS teaches that Jesus is not all persons mediator, is an apostate teaching and is blaphemous.

may we all endure and give thanks for the Bible, christ Jesus the greatest gift of all, give thanks to the Father of our Lord and Saviour

much peace

Sandra

Evening :
I've been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for almost 25 years, and I could remain a Witness if I desired. However, I will probably step down and leave the organization before too long. I just want to make sure that I don't cause too many problems for my wife & children (they're still zealous Witnesses, and don't know where I am spiritually).

I don't know whether your statement about my use of language should be viewed as a complement or an insult. I know that I tend to be verbose, but I picked that habit up prior to becoming a Witness. (I'm not the only Witness with this writing style; have you ever read the "God's Kingdom of a Thousand Years" book? We last studied that one in the late '70s or early 80s)
If you choose to believe that I'm not a JW, that's up to you.

My real reason for coming to this forum is because of the quandry that I described above: Even though I don't believe the Witness' teachings any longer. However, I don't want to freak my family out. Furthermore, after all of these years in the organization, I will be walking away from all of the people that I call "friends."

I'm not interested in blasting the Witnesses, because most of them are trying to do what's right. I'm trying to figure how to reconnect with the culture outside of their organization.

BTW, I'll look at my congregation's Property Title, and tell you whether it's in the name of the WTS. I'll post that information here later on.
