Once again, you are right and the correction has been made.
Please recognize that the Greek Scripture portion of the 2001 Translation is now several years old and that we are currently spending most of our time translating the Septuagint (and are working on 2 Chronicles and Daniel at the moment), so we don't have the time to go back and check all the words. However, we appreciate and invite your input and help, and will continue to make corrections as they are pointed out to us.
Your brother,
JIM

Sounds great. One thought though... would it not be wiser to translate the old testiment from the Tanach instead of making a translation of a translation from the Septuagint? Or at least referencing the Tanach?

The interlinear scripture analyzer has a concordant Hebrew English sublinear. Basically it breaks each word down further to it's roots. It is better then a transliteration, certanly better then a translation. It could be useful...

To say "of prophecy" in Greek the noun must be genitive, singular and feminine. At least to my understanding.
That was an absolute total guess... well not really I did check the Greek text.

If you look in the word list of the ISA you will find;

The Greek construct της προφητειας in the bible seven times and it has a noun that is genitive, singular and feminine. Not sure if the definite artical is needed in what we were trying to say though.

These verses translated as "of the prophecy";

Rev1:3; 11:6; 19:10; 22:7,10,18,19;

With this program you can put your translation inside the software itself! Then you can export the data to share with others. Cool.

Re:Jim Wheeler - 2007/02/21 07:22 Hi Mars,
Sorry to be so long in getting back with you. I dropped out of all discussions for a while because I was receiving personal attacks. But now that the translation is completed I have more time for their foolishness. We (those who did the translating) are always open to suggestions and look forward to your communications.
