Re:Perfection - 2005/08/29 05:10To experience the state of consciousness that awakens the awareness of your intuitive feelings, practice connection meditation.
It involves taking deep breaths of at least four second duration. On the exhale invoke the divine name, as in;
While you are saying God's name think of the beauty of God and his name and the power of it. Feel God's name vibrating through your body, through the air, and through the universe.
After the seventh breath you will know what it means to be aware of your intuitive feelings. I encourage you to do more then seven, but at least seven.
In this state you are more receptive to hearing God answer your prayers. So, by all means enjoy a thoughtful prayer to God.
Re:Perfection - 2005/08/29 23:23I'm not sure where you're going with this Mars... If I could attain perfection on my own - what need would I have for the ransom sacrifice of Christ?
"Faithful and deserving of full acceptance is the saying that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Of these I am foremost." 1 Tim. 1:15 If Paul, an eye-witness to the glory of the risen Christ, found himself wanting, how could I, admitedly a sinner and in desperate want of Christ, hope to attain to perfection? There is no one, imo, that is sinless, be it in thought or thoughtlessness, action or inaction.
Humility, however, is key to the recognition and acceptance of our sinful human condition and leads the way the full and happy acceptance of the sacrifice Christ made on our behalf. We simply must humble ourselves before God in acknowledgement of this loving provision - we don't deserve it - it is such a HUGE gift of mercy - there is no comparison to anything our human minds can comprehend. Lack of humility would say: 'Thanks anyway... but no thanks, God, really there is no need - I can do it myself.'
So in all humility we must pray: Dear Father, I cannot do it myself - thank you for providing The Way in which I may become acceptable in your sight; to reconcile my lowly ways to your higher ways, through the Son of your Love and the worlds only hope of redemption, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
Amen?
Peace and love, Bea

Peace and love, Bea Amen. You will never attain perfection on your own.
Re:Perfection - 2005/08/31 16:03Awaken to the awareness of your intuitive feelings.
Resistive desire leads to sin. Resistive passion leads to sin. Resistive emotion leads to sin. That is because all three words point us in the direction of understanding why we sin. Resistance would be in relation to God's will.
"Each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin;..."--James 1:14-15.
Looking in the dictionary you will find that passion is an emotion and the object of desire.
D -> A
[Desire causes Action]
Desire is a function of Passion.
Therefore;
D(P) -> A
[Desire of Passion causes Action]
P = !E!
[Passion equals strong Emotion]
E = F(C)
[Emotion equals Feelings of Cognition]
Where F is bodily feelings or sensations.
Cognition is a function of Language-use.
Therefore;
E = F(C(L))
[Emotion equals Feelings of Cognition of Language-use]
Therefore;
D(!F(C(L))!) -> A
[Desire from strong Feelings of Cognition of Language-use causes Action]
"If anyone does not stumble in word, this one is a perfect man, able to bridle also [his] whole body..."--James 3:2, (James 3:3,4).
The scripture reveals word or language-use is the bridle of the whole body and even the rudder of inclinations.
As the logical equations and the bible point out; language-use (vocal and subvocal) is the key to our being and the source of all sin we may experience. Equally it is the source of all righteousness and perfection we may experience.
Do you understand now why the Word of God has so much power in our lives? "For the word of God is alive and exerts power..."--Hebrews 4:12.
Re:Perfection - 2005/09/01 05:15Jehovah the name that means God "causes to become" what so every he desires.
It would seem then that we are made in God's image. We act on our desires and God causes to become what he desires.
We are static matterial beings who act out desire. God is a dynamic being who transforms and causes to become his desire.
It seems to work similarly for both, by language use;
(Genesis 1:3) "And God proceeded to say: “Let light come to be.” Then there came to be light."
(John 1:1-3) "In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. This one was in [the] beginning with God. All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence"
This is starting to get profound. I think a book can be written on this insight.
