perfection. - 2005/10/03 16:30 Hey all

I find these postings very interesing.Part of what i want to know is what do people here think about perfection and is it attainable...and if so how do you think you get it..personaly i have one very easy way of thinking of it. what makes a person perfect ? what makes anything perfect? well ultimately it comes down to veiw , that of the one who wants to be perfect, veiw comands all actions of our life , so different veiw equals different reaction defferent action.so what makes you perfect? the veiw that your already pefect.Pretty simple huh..remember that that's from my veiw though. But dont forget that CAN be everyone else's veiw too.

thanks josh.

eicerrus,

Great question.

From my point of view one of the central themes of the bible is positioned around how to attain perfection or rather how to regain perfection.

Why do we need to regain perfection?

It was lost by our common forefather Adam.

Here is a scripture which describes the perfection we lost:

Genesis 1

26 And God went on to say: “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every moving animal that is moving upon the earth.” 27 And God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.

I hope you will agree this scripture is describing perfect people.

Those familiar with the bible should understand that perfection was lost through the belief in and manipulation through deceit and lies:

Genesis 3:4

4 At this the serpent said to the woman: “YOU positively will not die. 5 For God knows that in the very day of YOUR eating from it YOUR eyes are bound to be opened and YOU are bound to be like God, KNOWING good and bad.”

I also hope you might agree that through the ages Satan has manipulated those initial deceits so much further that people really don't know good from bad.

This is supported by the following scripture:

Revelation 12:9

9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth;

Therefore if there is to be any hope of attaining perfection once again we need outside help which should enable us to see through the many deceptions and understand the route back to perfection.

The way to battle deceits and falsehoods is with knowledge and truths.

In this way those who truly want to regain perfection should be enabled to acheive it once more.

The following scripture supports this:

Colossians 3:9-10

9 Do not be lying to one another. Strip off the old personality with its practices, 10 and clothe yourselves with the new [personality], which through accurate knowledge is being made new according to the image of the One who created it,

Genesis 1:27

27 And God proceeded to create the man in his image

In order to understand the depth of Satans (and his demons) ability to mislead the entire inhabited earth please consider the thread "Daniel should now make sense."

How succesfull has Satan been at deceiving the entire inhabited earth?

Jehovah's Witnesses who did indeed have the truth and started to do the will of God have been completely undermined by Satan and his sons the evil slave without them knowing it.

Millions of people are being successfully deceived by the evil slave who are presently masquerading as the faithfull slave.

So thorough is the deception that the evil slave have been able to obtain veneration from millions of these misled people while entering into the actual temple of God. It is like insulting Jehovah to his very face however, these people sincerely believe they are worshipping him.

What a truly miserable condition the world is in.

Re:perfection. - 2005/10/04 14:23 eicerrus,

So I do agree with you that perfection does depend on a persons view however, their view is conditioned by the deceptions, falsehoods, knowledge and truths they personally decide to either accept or neglect with or without carefull inspection.

Im really amazed with your last post -''So I do agree with you that perfection does depend on a persons view however, their view is
conditioned by the deceptions, falsehoods, knowledge and truths they personally decide to either accept or neglect"- im really glad your of that same view. So i got some thing for ya.. so if our view conditions us like you said. do you think its not that far of a step to say that our view can conditions us for sin?

thanks

Josh,

The answer is yes.

Eve's view was conditioned by Satan.

Geneisis 3

6 Consequently the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was something to be longed for to the eyes, yes, the tree was desirable to look upon.

It is important for us all to consider how our own views are being conditioned.

Can examining the scriptures and searching for truths condition us for sin or for perfection?

Can talking about what we find in the bible condition us for sin or perfection?

How is this forum conditioning our views?

regards
