You are correct that it was 11 stars bowing to Joseph however, I believe the 12th star is Joseph himself.
I am also convinced as Donald Burney must be that the story of Joseph is a very strong antitype which is being played out in our present history.
Why?
Examine these two scriptures:
Genesis 37:9
9 After that he had still another dream, and he related it to his brothers and said: “Here I have had a dream once more, and here the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”
Revelation 12:1
1 And a great sign was seen in heaven, a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon was beneath her feet, and on her head was a crown of twelve stars,
Joseph was well know for his keen insights and his righteous feeding of his brothers and family during a time of famine and this after those same brothers treated him with much contempt and abuse.
Now compare the above scriptures with Amos below:
Amos 8:9-11
11 “‘Look! There are days coming,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, ‘and I will send a famine into the land, a famine, not for bread, and a thirst, not for water, but for hearing the words of Jehovah. 12 And they will certainly stagger from sea all the way to sea, and from north even to the sunrise. They will keep roving about while searching for the word of Jehovah, but they will not find [it]. [/i]
Notice also that Joseph is pictured years later by Ezekiel as getting a larger reward than his brothers when Gods Kingdom is properly restored.
Ezekiel 47
13 This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: “This is the territory that YOU will assign to yourselves for inheritance as the land for the twelve tribes of Israel, with two pieces of field to Joseph.
I am convinced by the scriptures above and many more that a very small source of truth will exist during the time of the end and this source will at first be treated with much contempt.
Daniel 8
12 And an army itself was gradually given over, together with the constant [feature], because of transgression; and it kept throwing truth to the earth,
The world is soon to become a most dreadfull place to be.
People are going to want to know what to do.
A very few will know.

That a Joseph antitype would exist in the time of the end is revealed by the words of Jacob:
Genesis 49

Joseph would not use his own bow to return fire.
Why?
Because he knows the ones shooting at him are his brothers.

And it must occur that there will be very many fish, because there is where this water will certainly come, and the [seawater] will be healed, and everything will be alive where the torrent comes.
Where does the double size portion come from?

The scripture quoted in his article as follows reveals much:
Isaiah 60:19,20
18 “No more will violence be heard in your land, despoiling or breakdown within your boundaries. And you will certainly call your own walls Salvation and your gates Praise. 19 For you the sun will no more prove to be a light by day, and for brightness the moon itself will no more give you light. And Jehovah must become to you an indefinitely lasting light, and your God your beauty. 20 No more will your sun set, nor will your moon go on the wane; for Jehovah himself will become for you an indefinitely lasting light, and the days of your mourning will have come to completion.
The light (of truth) will no longer come from the sun and the moon. Notice that the consequence of this light is violence, despoiling and breakdown.
Although there have been bad consequnces from this light from the Sun and Moon these scriptures imply that these symbolized institutions did indeed have authority to dispense light or truths.
This realization is completely in line with what Jesus said in Matthew 24.
Matthew 24:45
45 “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so. 47 Truly I say to YOU, He will appoint him over all his belongings.
Both Jesus and Isaiah infer that an appointed institution(s) would be responsible for this duty prior to his arrival and also that there would be consequences if it failed in its proper duty.
The good new is that all those sincere people who have been abused by these appointed institutions will now really have "Good News" to talk about.
Why?
Jehovah answers in Isaiah:
Isaiah 60:19
Jehovah himself will become for you an indefinitely lasting light, and the days of your mourning will have come to completion.
Isn't that wonderful!
How will Jehovah do this?
Look at what he says at the start of Isaiah Chapter 60.
Isaiah 60:1
1 “Arise, O woman, shed forth light, for your light has come and upon you the very glory of Jehovah has shone forth. 2 For, look! darkness itself will cover the earth, and thick gloom the national groups; but upon you Jehovah will shine forth, and upon you his own glory will be seen. 3 And nations will certainly go to your light, and kings to the brightness of your shining forth.
The woman herself will be revealed and start to shed forth light.
You should now see why there will be many who don't understand or expect this who will be weeping and gnashing their teeth.
On the other hand it truly is good new tro understand what this "woman" will immediately acheive when she starts to shed forth her light:
Isaiah 61:1-3
1 The spirit of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah is upon me, for the reason that Jehovah has anointed me to tell good news to the meek ones. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to those taken captive and the wide opening [of the eyes] even to the prisoners; 2 to proclaim the year of goodwill on the part of Jehovah and the day of vengeance on the part of our God; to comfort all the mourning ones; 3 to assign to those mourning over Zion, to give them a headdress instead of ashes, the oil of exultation instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of the downhearted spirit; and they must be called big trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, for [him] to be beautified.
What are these big trees of righteousness?
Go back to Genesis 49:22

Isaiah Chapter 61 solidifies this understanding in the following verses:
The resources of the nations YOU people will eat, and in their glory YOU will speak elatedly about yourselves. 7 Instead of YOUR shame there will be a double portion, and instead of humiliation they will cry out joyfully over their share. Therefore in their land they will take possession of even a double portion. Rejoicing to time indefinite is what will come to be theirs.
Who gets the double portion.
The Joseph antitype:
Ezekiel Chapter 47 solidifies this understanding:
12 “And alongside the torrent there will come up, along its bank on this side and on that side, all sorts of trees for food. Their leafage will not wither, nor will their fruitage be consumed. In their months they will bear new fruit, because the water for them—it is coming forth from the very sanctuary. And their fruitage must prove to be for food and their leafage for healing.”

Re:Wacko interpretation of the week - 2005/10/09 12:05After contemplating what I have written above I realized that the Governing Body who believe they were appointed over all his belongings in the year 1919 were mistaken however, instead I am now thinking that in 1919 they were appointed over his domestics to give them their food at the proper time. There is a large difference in meaning but not in words.
Matthew 24:45

I am thinking that the truly faithfull and discreet slave or the woman is currently in the process of being appointed over all his belongings.
