Now all we need to understand is ............... when.

Proverbs 14:11 11 The house of wicked people will be annihilated, but the tent of the upright ones will flourish.
Isaiah 54:2
2 "Make the place of your tent more spacious. And let them stretch out the tent cloths of your grand tabernacle. Do not hold back. Lengthen out your tent cords, and make those tent pins of yours strong. 3 For to the right and to the left you will break forth, and your own offspring will take possession even of nations, and they will inhabit even the desolated cities. 4 Do not be afraid, for you will not be put to shame; and do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disappointed.
Zechariah 2:6
6 “Hey there! Hey there! Flee, then, YOU people, from the land of the north,” is the utterance of Jehovah.
“For in the direction of the four winds of the heavens I have spread YOU people abroad,” is the utterance of Jehovah.
7 “Hey there, Zion! Make your escape, you who are dwelling with the daughter of Babylon. 8 For this is what Jehovah of armies has said, ‘Following after [the] glory he has sent me to the nations that were despoiling YOU people; for he that is touching YOU is touching my eyeball. 9 For here I am waving my hand against them, and they will have to become spoil to their slaves.’ And YOU people will certainly know that Jehovah of armies himself has sent me.
The destruction of Babylon the Great is an event which is intertwined with the same earthquake which is to come suddenly upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
This is revealed in Chapter 16 of the Book of Revelation:
[i]17 And the seventh one poured out his bowl upon the air. At this a loud voice issued out of the sanctuary from the throne, saying: “It has come to pass!” 18 And lightnings and voices and thunders occurred, and a great earthquake occurred such as had not occurred since men came to be on the earth, so extensive an earthquake, so great. 19 And the great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell; and Babylon the Great was remembered in the sight of God, to give her the cup of the wine of the anger of his wrath. 20 Also, every island fled, and mountains were not found. 21 And a great hail with every stone about the weight of a talent descended out of heaven upon the men, and the men blasphemed God due to the plague of hail, because the plague of it was unusually great. [/i]
If God's faithfull people are going to survive they will need to know what to do and when to do it.
As a side note it would be helpfull to find a camping location near some caves, bridge or an underpass for those stormy times when the hailstones weighing over 40 lbs start falling.
The first century true Christians were given a sign which, all could see and would indicate when they should flee.
Have modern day Christians been given a sign to watch for that all should see and then flee out of the most dangerous earthquake zones?

We don't know the exact day or the hour however, we do know that an invitation has been extended.
The sign is similar to a wedding invitation.
We know the wedding is about to start because we see guests arriving dressed for the occasion.
In the first century the Jews knew the tribulation was about to start because they saw their city surrounded by armies.
In our modern day tribulation which, will be sudden and come like a thief in the night we can expect that much death will occur worldwide with the greatest ever earthquake.
Zephaniah 1:6
7 Keep silence before the Sovereign Lord Jehovah; for the day of Jehovah is near, for Jehovah has prepared a sacrifice; he has sanctified his invited ones.
Who are the guests invited to this event?
Revelation Chapter 19 gives the answer:
17 I saw also an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice and said to all the birds that fly in midheaven: “Come here, be gathered together to the great evening meal of God, 18 that YOU may eat the fleshy parts of kings and the fleshy parts of military commanders and the fleshy parts of strong men and the fleshy parts of horses and of those seated upon them, and the fleshy parts of all, of freemen as well as of slaves and of small ones and great.”
Yes, the invitation is extended to the birds.
The same invitation is echoed in other scriptures as follows:
Ezekiel 39:17
17 “And as regards you, O son of man, this is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said, ‘Say to the birds of every sort of wing and to all the wild beasts of the field: “Collect yourselves together and come. Gather yourselves together all around to my sacrifice, which I am sacrificing for YOU, a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. And YOU will certainly eat flesh and drink blood. 18 The flesh of mighty ones YOU will eat, and the blood of the chieftains of the earth YOU will drink, rams, young male sheep, and he-goats, young bulls, the fatlings of Ba´shan all of them. 19 And YOU will be certain to eat fat to satisfaction and to drink blood to drunkenness, from my sacrifice that I will sacrifice for YOU.”’
Jehovah gave a more detailed explanation of the events in Isaiah Chapter 34:
Isaiah 34:1-12
1 Come up close, YOU nations, to hear; and YOU national groups, pay attention. Let the earth and that which fills it listen, the productive land and all its produce. 2 For Jehovah has indignation against all the nations, and rage against all their army. He must devote them to destruction; he must give them to the slaughter. 3 And their slain ones will be thrown out; and as for their carcasses, their stink will ascend; and the mountains must melt because of their blood. 4 And all those of the army of the heavens must rot away. And the heavens must be rolled up, just like a book scroll; and their army will all shrivel away, just as the leafage shrivels off the vine and like a shriveled [fig] off the fig tree.
5 “For in the heavens my sword will certainly be drenched. Look! Upon E´dom it will descend, and upon the people devoted by me to destruction in justice. 6 Jehovah has a sword; it must be filled with blood; it must be made greasy with the fat, with the blood of young rams and he-goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams. For Jehovah has a sacrifice in Boz´rah, and a great slaughtering in the land of E´dom. 7 And the wild bulls must come down with them, and young bulls with the powerful ones; and their land must be drenched with blood, and their very dust will be made greasy with the fat.”
8 For Jehovah has a day of vengeance, a year of retributions for the legal case over Zion.
9 And her torrents must be changed into pitch, and her dust into sulphur; and her land must become as burning pitch. 10 By night or by day it will not be extinguished; to time indefinite its smoke will keep ascending. From generation to generation she will be parched; forever and ever no one will be passing across her. 11 And the pelican and the porcupine must take possession of her, and long-eared owls and ravens themselves will reside in her; and he must stretch out over her the measuring line of emptiness and the stones of wasteness. 12 Her nobles—there are none there whom they will call to the kingship itself, and her very princes will all become nothing.
None they will call to the kingship?
I am convinced that Jehovah is talking about the army of heavens, the kings who were to rule over the earth, the ones who commited spiritual fornication with the harlot. Otherwise known as Babylon the Great.
The sign that true Christians should be watching for is the gathering together of birds in and around the cities. Especially carnivorous birds such as vultures, falcons, owls, ravens, crows, and eagles.
Where and when we see this strange anomolie occuring within and around the cities we should immediately leave for open rural country.
The ones left behind will be those who do not have faith in what Jesus said:
Luke 17:34
34 I tell YOU, In that night two [men] will be in one bed; the one will be taken along, but the other will be abandoned. 35 There will be two [women] grinding at the same mill; the one will be taken along, but the other will be abandoned.” 36 —— 37 So in response they said to him: “Where, Lord?” He said to them: “Where the body is, there also the eagles will be gathered together.”
The New Internatiuonal Version make this more clear:

Open Rural Country - 2005/11/24 04:12I have been giving some serious thought as to exactly where in the "open rural country" I would go.
I live in the middle of the "Golden Horseshoe" which is a name given to the Metropolis surrounding the NorthWestern Shore of Lake Ontario including Niagara (maybe Buffalo) through Hamilton to Toronto and even further east to Pickering and Oshawa.
I am thinking it would be best to head to higher ground which in South Western Ontario means just above the Niagara Escarpment.
The furthest North I can go in Southern Ontario is up around the Bruce Peninsula which, has agriculture, wilderness, fresh water and most importantly caves. There are caves all along the escarpment.
It is a peninsula because the escarpment stretches out into Lake Huron which, is one of the clearest freshwater lakes in the world and a favorite freshwater divers destination.
It's about a 3 hour drive north for me to the tip of the peninsula.
