Re:LOVE - 2005/03/21 22:06 a great scripture is the one (sorry dont know where it is) where it says Jehovah has put infinity into the hearts of man,the reason being love is the closest to infinity that humans can get.only Jehovah has been forever existant and Jehovah IS Love.only love conquers death, death is the furthest humans exist, but love lives on,i Love some of my dead realitives even though they cant tell me they love me back, but the love they gave me while they were alive was enough for me to love them back FOREVER.
another (this is somwhere near the back) is when Jesus told the illustration of the good samaritan, the point of it all being we must love our neighbour as ourselves, which was provoked by the question: who, really is my neighbour?Jesus replied by baisically saying anyone is your neighbour.do I love my neighbour (anyone) as myself?could I die for my neighbour (anyone)?could I die for anyone on the street, from the little old ladys to the adolescent brats?could I die for those who havnt exactly treated me very nicely,in or out of the organization?i'm trying.

Re:LOVE - 2005/03/21 23:16 Hey anonymous, great post. Yeah, good Samaritan. I often quote this one about us so-called apostates.

Many JWs look at those disfellowshipped, as apostate and view them with little love. Yet the good Samaritan was an apostate worshipper himself. Jesus told his followers that they should treat ones like the Samaritan, whether so called apostates or not, as neighbours and not just be neighbourly but actually love them as ourselves.

So, I wonder if those ones looking down on us might want to die for us too eh?

much spirit to you

Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone thinks he has acquired knowledge of something, he does not yet know it just as he ought to know it. But if anyone loves God, this one is known by him - 1 Cor 8:1-3
