A special notice for all who come here - 2005/03/14 01:48
Hi team! A special welcome to all the new kids on the block. Quite a few new ones since I last joined in a discussion. So many that it would be a task to name you all. So peace and love to each one of you.
I’m a long-time friend of Epignosis, the administrator. We’ve been through much together. When he spoke to me sometime back about starting a forum, I wondered what good that would do. And I probably didn’t do as much as I should have to encourage him.
I’d seen too many forums with people going around in circles. People venting on all sorts of issues without restraint—though claiming to be following Christ. So I was skeptical.
Sites dominated by hurting people (and I’m in no way minimizing the reality of the terrible things we suffer) just seemed to be so negative. It’s so easy for us humans to focus on negatives and hurts. And I was worried this site would go the same way.
But I’m pleasantly surprised to see how well things have gone here. It’s really got a great atmosphere and it’s obvious why. LOVE. Genuine love for Jehovah, for Christ, for each other, and for truth.
If love is a product or fruit of the spirit, and that love is present here, then it follows that God’s spirit is here.
So first of all, a special thank you to the administrator for pulling this site together. And to all of you for continuing to foster the right spirit so God’s love can permeate this place.
May this place always be that way.
