Hi,
I see this reform movement thing and support it. But we must live the change we want to see in the world. So we don't need to wait for some corporation to reform for us to take advantage of the wisdom and direction of the reform movement.
This is were I think the idea of Jehovah's witness co-operation fits in. We can live the reform NOW.
If you really think the gb itself is going to reform you are mistaken. Those in power have never wanted to lose there control over people.
So it will remain a grass-roots thing. And it will spread quickly if we co-operate together to live the reforms and help find ways to make it blossom.
As Jehovah's witnesses we have a lot of uniting and important teachings of freedom. No hell fire in eternal torment. No worshiping Jesus or Marry or anyone else except Jehovah. Paradise earth, 144,000 as kings and priests in heaven, not willing to kill our fellow man in wars or otherwise, no worship of pagan gods through there holy days. The list goes on and on...
There is no need for use to fall back to pagan 'christainity' just because we are imperfect and arrogant.
How about we just correct are arrogance and keep the truths that define us and move on from there.
Some don't like us calling ourselves Jehovah's witnesses. Well those same people probably feel comfortable worshiping Jesus and burning people in hell. So how do we deliniate between them and use that distinction to unite and carry forth our ministry of the good news and the freedom of God?
I believe using the name 'Jehovah's witnesses' is a tool that unites us in co-operations to do God's will in our unique way.
