No more Mods but more Admins - 2005/03/23 20:44 Hi all.

More administrators have been appointed to help running things on our site.

We have made a decision to remove any formal moderation of the forums. Instead we request that all posters should moderate themselves and each other.

The principle is that we should each be moderate. This is defined as "observing reasonable limits". What is reasonable should be based on the community standard of love.

The admins will not be moderators. We will be responsible for:

  • straight out functional stuff like back-up the website and database

  • make sure there are no glitches in the tools - like the PM thing.

  • real techo stuff like adding extra tools and functionality, shifting stuff around on the site, adding sections

  • pick up and respond to queries for the site

  • In addition if there is a need to delete stuff or remove an account then that will be done by the Admins. (somebody has to do it ) We will try to act within the spirit of this site, talk to people and act consistently with our policies in making any decision. We hope that the moderation by each member will mean this will be extremely rare.

Our desire at all times is to serve the community. The spirit will build up the community to love and to worship in spirit and truth.

You will see the Admin designation against the names in the forums. Admins may be contacted by PM or through the contact section in the main menu.
